Our Story

El Tejaban started in 2008 by an immigrant family from Mexico. El Tejaban gets its name from the outdoor patio styling that many houses have in rural Mexico. The small restaurant outgrew its humble 65 seat location and now El Tejaban is located at a larger 150 seat restaurant with full bar. With great community support El Tejaban continues to bring authentic Mexican Cuisine and Chicano flavors to Richfield. We are proud to still be a family owned restaurant after the pandemic closures and are very grateful to our community.
